Dear Queensborough Elementary School Staff,

I hope this message finds you well. I am delighted to share some exciting news with you. After a thorough

selection process that included valuable input from stakeholders, I am pleased to announce Pauline Harris as

the new principal of Queensborough Elementary School.

Ms. Harris brings an extensive background and a wealth of experience to the Queensborough community.

She holds a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with a School Principal Endorsement, a Master

of Arts in General Counseling from Louisiana Tech University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary

Education from Grambling State University, where she graduated Cum Laude.

Ms. Harris has been serving as the Assistant Principal at University Elementary since 2019. During her

tenure, she has been instrumental in supervising teachers and staff, incorporating Trust-Based Relational

Intervention (TBRI) into the existing PBIS model, and assisting with the implementation of Sanford

Harmony. Her leadership has been pivotal in promoting the educational development of students and

enhancing the overall school environment.

Prior to her role at University Elementary, Ms. Harris was the Assistant Principal at Summerfield

Elementary and Huntington High School. At Huntington High, she also coordinated the Law and Business

Magnet program, helping students obtain Dual Enrollment credits and participate in Teen Court. Her

extensive experience also includes administrative coordination at Booker T. Washington High School, where

she facilitated job-embedded professional development and oversaw magnet programs.

Ms. Harris’ dedication to education is further demonstrated by her work as a guidance counselor, Direct

Instruction Facilitator, and teacher across various schools in the district. She has also participated in the

Caddo Parish Administrative Internship Program, which equipped her with the skills required to meet

complex challenges in educational leadership.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Harris is actively involved in community service. She has

volunteered as a tutor and youth camp counselor for many years, providing career and spiritual guidance to

students.

Ms. Harris’ vision for Queensborough Elementary is to foster an environment that provides opportunities for

students and staff alike to grow. Her collaborative and student-centered leadership style aligns with the
